Hey there friends!
I’ve never done a product review before and I thought I give it a go. I always read reviews and I find them to be super helpful.
There is one product line I want to talk about because I hear many face painters using them. Before I say YES or NO to recommending this product, I’m going to go in some details.
And no I am not getting paid for my opinions.
Kryvaline is a Canadian face painting brand that sells face paints, stencils, glitter and more. They claim to offer professional face paint for beginners and advanced levels. They state they have used their knowledge to formulate the Kryvaline brand. To read more, their site is www.facepaintingsupplies.ca
PLACING ORDERS: GOOD
Placing orders have been easy with them. They ship on time and don't have crazy shipping prices. They sometimes have sales AND/ OR a cash back program. Not sure if they will have this program forever, but you are suppose to get 10-15% cash back if you spend over $75. THAT is worth it! Kits can cost around $200.00 or more.
PACKING AND GETTING ORDER: GOOD
When I got my first order, it came in a box with bubble wrap packing. Nothing was damaged and everything was sealed.
COLOUR COMBINATIONS: GOOD
I purchased their 12 Regular Colour Regular Colour Line. I did enjoy the colour combo. The 2 greens were a nice touch. The colours look simple but vibrant. They look organized and easy to use.
COLOUR ON SKIN: DEPENDS ON COLOUR
MOST of the colours were good. I found they were vibrant and matte looking. Most of the colours were capable of creating nice sharp colours with almost any design. My only issue was blue, black and white. I did find the blue staining a little after I tried to remove it. ALSO, the black and white weren't pigmented enough to use as design work. They almost looked a little "see through". They were okay for bases, but you would need to let them dry a little bit.
Overall, the colours were nice. However within a few months, the paints themselves did get a little mucky. This may be a personal preference, but the colours were harder to grab on the brush. I did feel these weren't paints that would last a year.
Even though the paints felt sort of soggy, they were still capable of looking nice on other's skin.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: AWESOME
I actually did like Kryvaline. Unlike Snaza roo that are only good for bases, Kryvaline offered great colours and the ability to create better design work. Their service was excellent and you get the product in right away. I was happy how the colours shown and how much cleaner they looked on clients.
Even though I had a good impression, I was a tad disappointed with the white and black paint. Those are the more popular primary colours used in design works with face painters. I thought this was just a personal thought, but I asked 2 other face painters and they felt the same.
I would suggest getting white and black paints else where.
Yes I recommend Kryvaline! They have a strong brand presence and offer great colour selections. If you are new OR advanced, I find anyone can use their paints.
I hope this review helped! Please leave your comments below and let me know what you truly though about the Kryvaline brand! Did you feel the same way with the black and white colours!?
